If you’ve taken all the classes and still feel stuck as a filmmaker, one directing class finally showed me what I was missing. 

I have my MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory, and it was Rob Spera’s directing class that rewired how I think about storytelling, on-set leadership, and building a career. Months later, I’m still pulling out those notes before shoots and using his frameworks to make braver choices in my work.

When I saw he was running a small directing lab in Tuscany, designed for filmmakers who want to deepen their craft and their creative voice, I knew I had to go.
